How come this won’t make national news? How come Obama isn’t commenting on this?
Dear Army Trainees,
I would personally like to express my gratitude and respect that I have for all of you. As I walk to my 8 am class and see all of you training so incredibly hard it really puts things into perspective. You all wake up at the vast hours of the morning and train. And I’m not talking about a couple laps around a football stadium or gym… But y’all push yourself to your extreme limits and explore what you are truly capable of. Sometimes I wish everyone of this world had the heart and strength of even just a piece of one you. I see how much this means to you as your eyes are pointed towards your goal, and it honestly motivates me. Next, of course you all’s courage and strength. You’re dedicated enough to offer up years of your life for others, and again I think a lot more people could use your incredible selflessness. You’ve heard about the horrors of war yet you are willing to sacrifice yourself for the good of others. Sometimes whether war is truly a good thing or not comes into question but that doesn’t make you any less of the heroes that you are. You all definitely do not get the gratitude that you deserve. Yes, we take a couple days out of the year to recognize those currently serving or those who have fallen. Yet, you all are sacrificing every day and should be thanked every single day for all that you are doing. Whether you agree with war or not you cannot disagree with the fact that those serving, who have served, or those going to serve have the most heart out of anyone. Respect it. Thank God for it. Model after it. Lastly, I just want to thank all of those in this career field for being my role model. You all have taught me that there are more pieces of me than I ever knew and I should push myself to see what I am capable of. And I pray that I am even just half the person that you all are.
